No one came but girlfriends, and best friends of said g/f's.

Thank you MS and your redneck ass bars.

Lame... But....

My tone was sick. AND by sick i mean jaw droping sick.

yay for a day that started horrible, ended up horrible, and ended up not so bad with a very small bar tab and one hell of a {censored} faced guitar player!

Also at 12 this afternoon i had a 99.6 temp...Wtf..

I once saw a show where I was the only person there for the entire second set. It was during winter break in a small college town and it snowed that night so during the first set there were about 5 people in the place. They left at setbreak and I was all alone. It was pretty weird but the band really appreciated it.

We have already had that talk my friend one full moon ago. And that is why that place is now closed.

I played to 2 people once. Literally the other band and two people watching us. That's when you got to play twice as hard.

Problem isn't this being the first time. This would be... 10+ of situations like this happening.

I mean i didn't explain part of the situation. I mean the place is seriously like a good 15 min drive outside of the College town. And i mean in a town where you can drive 2 min to get anywhere, why would you want to drive that far for a show, when it's supposed to rain, and its a thursday, and paying a cover + gas thats already to expensive.

So.. yeah. The economical view of it was against us. And this was kind of a favor for a group on campus. LAST one of these needless to say. We signed up for two. The first time we played there we made like 215 at the door with $1 long necks(ftw!)

Nobody else will get the pleasure of playing in that wonderful place! hahaha.. heck we even crashed on that dingy floor the night before, the dude's toilet was a 10 gallon bucket that was full of piss and other stuff I don't wanna think about.

yeah. that place sucked pretty bad. i'm sorry you had to go through that experience. There is a reason it is now closed. I think you just nailed it on 1/3 of the reasons why.

Why thank you. Those songs are about a year and some time old. Solution is almost 3 years old. We rushed that album. never doing that again. I'm about to listen to your stuff.

I've played two or three gigs to almost empty rooms. One night the smoking ban kicked in and Champions League footie was on, we almost packed up and didn't even play, until a few mates fell through the doors at the last minute.

Srangely, I don't really enjoy what are for me huge, packed gigs that much more than I do the small, empty ones. It's a trade off, the lack of pressure usually makes up for the lack of appreciation.

The gig I played on Sunday was virtually empty. The barman said he was taking a risk by booking us for Sunday lunch. The risk did not pay off. Maybe played to ten people in total.

Essentially what happened tonight. But i got drunk and played my heart out anyways. Few people came that hadn't seen us play in a while It's really nice when you get friends impressed again.

there's nothing wrong with playing a small show. i've played for next to no one in most states in this country. i've also played amazing shows in those same towns. if your band can make it through a show where there are only two people there and still blow them away it is a big sign of commitment from everyone. i've seen great bands fall apart without the energy of a crowd to feed off of.

With two beers and a jack n coke. I'll play to a crowd of 10 to a crowd of 1,000 the same.

Just a bummer to only get paid $35. We are saving for a trailer. SO we can get out of this hell hole. (The trailer would just make things about 100% easier in transporting things.)
