Members phishmarisol
Do these pedals sound basically the same?

Members Uma Floresta
Do these pedals sound basically the same? Not even close. The little cheap Fab Distortion also sounds much better than the Fab Tone.
Members phishmarisol
I played the bottom one today and didn't really like it. It was OK and not too bad for a wall of sound type thing but it kinda sounded like a $20 pedal. I wanted a Fab Tone but now I'm not so sure. Members Agreed
The Fab Tone can be used to get square wave-like sounds out of distorted amps. Makes it sound like you're playing a Gameboy. Thought about buying it, realized I had no use for that. Edit: That video sounds NOTHING like the Fab Tone I tried in-store. I'm guessing there's a lot more going into that sound than just the pedal. Anyone know the language? What amp is he using?

Members the Dust
the Fab Tone is a hi-gain distortion. very metal-like... LOTS of bass in this pedal... but too much distorted, even with minimum gain setttings... cool for heavy sounds or lead...
