And it is the most retarded television program I have ever heard.

The premise is that people are 'gone.' No explanation of why theyre gone but its not that they are dead, because the show empty beds and streets and no destruction of {censored}.

So they start there and then go into a 20 minute segment on power and electricity. PEOPLE ARE GONE WHO GIVES A {censored} ABOUT POWER.

Now the big issue is that streets are overgrown and there are some bears walking around in NYC. I seriously hope that this show didn't cost more than $5 to make because it is {censored}ing the worst thing ever put on film.

I've seen things like that before but they were interesting, at least to me. Just showing you how the world would change without people right?

Basically but why talk about power for 20 minutes when the lack of humans makes that completely irrelevant. JUST GET TO THE DAMN SEX SCENES!

Wait. Wrong movie.

So they assume we disappeared into thin air? ghey

I don't know what this Life After People thing is exactly but what I've seen just shows what how the world would change over the next 10, 50, 100, 1000, etc. years if humans were to become extinct. It doesn't matter how we die, only that we're not here anymore at all.

But how we go will make a difference. We're the most powerful species on Earth, there's a huge difference between us disappearing out of nowhere and fading out over hundreds or thousands of years.

I don't know about that. We're powerful, by our standards, sure. We can even put a lot of stuff back into the air that wasn't there and alter the climate. That's impressive, no bones about it.

But there are a lot of species keeping up with us, in terms of numbers, and profiting from our ways of living. Mostly small ones :)

I think it's a pretty cool premise for a show. It wears its agenda more or less on its sleeve, but the ways that the environment takes things back is fascinating.

Just imagine a single, simple change - what if we no longer mowed our lawns? How quickly civilization would start to look very different! We fight the world to keep our idea of our space, but it wins in the long run, I think.

It did answer the question of life after nuclear fallout. The Chernobyl areas evacuated had always suggested 50-75 years before life could exist. What they found was it started pretty quick without humans interacting.

Moral of the story? We are insignificant compared to nature

That was the premise of the show.

Some people apparently don't get the idea of premise or the idea that they're free to change the channel if they don't like something...

Lame.
