I am going to pick up a noise suppressor, the Boss is on the way out. I am wondering how much better if any the ISP decimator ProRackG is over the ISP decimator stompbox. I am thinking about getting rid of some pedals and going to rack products such as a Korg tuner, BBE Sonic maximizer and possibly the ISP rackmount noise suppressor. Thoughts.

Does that go the same for the BBE sonic maximizer and tuner as well. I was thinking about possibly getting a TC Electronics unit but I have alot of pedals that I really like right now and am not sure how the TC measures up to what I have. The reason for the TC would be the compactness and only having a midi controller to apply my effects.

But much more expensive.

I would meet halfway and get the Decimator G string. All the features of the rack unit in a stompbox with an improved gate envelope for $220.

Probably the best on the market.

In my experience, certain things are just not interchangeable with equal results and IMO, certain pedals just can't be replicated w/ rack gear and vice versa. That is why I use both old school analog pedals on a tray in my rack, in series- in front of the amps through my switching system and rack processors in parallel through the wet cabs of my rig mixed in parallel in a line mixer. Obnoxiously complicated and costly, but with this latest rig, I decided I was done compromising for a while. ;)
