Members kriista
I know there's a couple of threads already, but this is a pretty important (to me anyways) feature to drop. From looking at the DD7 manual, while in hold mode, you press the footswitch to start recording, then press it again to stop recording. You also have to double press to stop the playback. So that means you can't do super fast recordings!! Or stop on a dime for that matter. It's a big shame, I was hoping to upgrade to the DD7 for the analog/modulation/40seconds but the main reason I bought the DD6 is to be able to stutter/glitch, and having a 5second extra looper is nice too. Just when I thought Boss was doing the right thing... I'm guessing the rationale is that it would suck to hold the pedal down for 40sec to record a long loop or do significant overdubbing, but I think its a terrible change. Members dacama
Well on the DD-3 if I remember correctly you adjust the time knob to adjust well....the time. Perhaps when the time knob is all the way low it'll do the glitch kinda stop/stutter effect.
Members kriista
On the DD3 you can tweak the time after you've recorded a short loop? (ie shorten it more?) Either way it seems you'd have to start/stop it with 2 steps, seriously limited your initial loop time.

Man - you should have seen the people complaining about holding the pedal down! People were PRAYING that this one would let you tap-in and tap-out rather than having to "hold the stupid pedal down". You can't please everyone -Ben

Members kriista
That's a no brainer now. I just started the thread for other stttuterers who were thinking of upgrading, or buying a DD7.
