Members The_Tourist
just wanted to make a ridiculous "yes this is an obvious bump" bump. but yeah I suppose a better post would have been:I already have a Stereo Pulsar at the moment and since I'm planning to do some more diy projects this summer, I was thinking of maybe building a TL. I want to build something I'll use though, and was wondering if having it would be redundant with the Pulsar. The Seymour Duncan looks nice, but it's more than I was planning to spend and I was hoping to go diy. Members BmoreTele
I have had them both - a 3ms and a 4ms TL and the full size and XO Pulsar. The waveshaping is similar, but the TL will NOT do as hard a chop as the Pulsar. The TL has the option of a gain control, but my Pulsars have always been at unity anyway. The tone of the TL is a little warmer, if that makes any sense, but the Pulsar sounds fine to me. I don't see what the TL would give you that you don't already have in the Pulsar. Members pbone
Not to mention that the TL is much more versatile than the Pulsar.
Members cloudscapes
I think the only thing pulsar has over the TL is panning, so if you dont play in stereo, you know what your answer is.
Members The_Tourist
I guess I'll be building a TL! I found that youtube video of one with speed modulation which seems like something I'd like to add.
Members cloudscapes
that youtube, although not my video, is my own tremulus lune. I recognize the custom paintjob
Members dap99
I guess I'll have to do a demo of my T-Lune soon. I've not used other trems, so I can't say what's better/worse, but I'm really happy w/ the TL so far. I'll see about that demo
