Members Walt Disney
I am in the process of custom building my future bass guitar and i'm looking for the right effect pedal or stomp box to go with it. My first pedal of choice is the ZVEX Fuzz Factory. But i would rather find something else that sounds equally amazing, as the guitar players in my band both already own one of these. What i'm looking for primarily is brands and places that deal in the extraordinary and that aren't afraid of thinking outside the box. As listeners and players, we like to dabble with extremes, but above all else sound quality is of great importance. ZVEX and Electro Harmonix deliver great sound at a fair price. But there must be more effects builders out there that make things worth checking out.Flanger, chorus, reverb, delay, octaver, various kinds of synth sounds... these are not what i'm looking for. I'm talking balls deep spaced out, quality analog circuitry. So! Any suggestions? /w
Members ChuckNorris1982
http://www.4mspedals.com/ Some of the 4MS stuff makes pretty much anything else sound tame.

Members ChuckNorris1982
Yeah Devi's stuff is quite wacky but most of it is fuzz pedals. Not traditional style like a Fuzz Face or Big Muff though, they tend to be glitchy noisemakers more than anything. Definitely cool if you like that stuff. Might be worth checking out some of the Moogerfooger stuff too if you have deep pockets and plenty of board space.

Members seifukusha
ring mod is kind of boring..but at least you can tune it... i still say sampler...digital distortion, bit crush?
Members Walt Disney
If i wanted my bass to sound digital, i'lld get a laptop and NI Guitar Rig.No thanks. I will say that it's a fine line between abstract and warmth though. That's exactly where the Fuzz Factory delivers. Harsh but warm. Far out but still warm and pleasant to the ears, if you follow me. I'm really liking the 4MS Noise Swash.

Members spentron
I make several slices of nastiness, click sig.... not as overt as oscillation, just 30 ways to slice and dice your fuzz and plenty of finer tweaks of each. Full bass response and the MixMuff has a clean mix option (more possible customly).
Members messiah
I spent a few hours last night with a Synth Mangler... really really great fun and sounds cool as f*ck. It also has a lot of standard fuzz sounds you can use, but has the ability to go mental at the stomp of a switch (or a movement of the Joystick!). Loving this pedal at the moment... Members StompboxMan
Sounds too thin. The Wooley Mammoth retains base frequencies and has a Pinch control to adjust the pulse width of the waveform. It you want to play a Fuzz Factory with your bass for it's squeal feature think about getting a Fuzz Probe.

Members Walt Disney
The Noise Swash arrived Wednesday. This, to me, is the holy grail for high-powered, Hard Core, glitch, speed and drone-type distortion. The warmth, aggressiveness and variety of sounds coming from this box is absolutely amazing. I had them add a dry signal control and an extra input which turned out to be the perfect additions for my needs. Kudos to Dann at 4ms pedals for great communications, impeccable product and super fast shipping. And again thanks for the tip!I'll post a couple of sound clips if you like. Cheers,Peter
