Members SirJackdeFuzz
So want to bring an element of psychedelia to my heavy DOOM-like tone, to make it even more trippy and trance enducing ! What do you guys use/sugest ? Multiple delays ? 'Vibe' boxes ? Flangers ? Phasers ? Chorus ? . . . something completely else ? Just remember, i already have a Wah & Whammy. I suck (right now) with a wah . . . i am am getting there - slowly ! Thanx
Members Fender&EHX4ever
"Trippy" and "Psychedelia" are terms that usually make me think of the late 60s and early 70s. Is that what you are referring to? If so, then wah and phaser are staples of that era, as well as backwards delay.

Members huskerjohn
This does the ticket for me. Combined with a fuzz and you are set.
Members messiah
Putting a wah at the end of the chain is a good way of getting 60s psychotic lead sounds (I'm thinking Fuzz Tones/Pebbles/Choc Watch Band-type fuzzed up mayhem)... Try Fuzz>Verb or Delay>Phaser or Flanger>Wah... you'll be sounding as evil as purple cord flares in no time.

Members Phineas Gage
tremolo man! sounds great on leads in the doom/stoner context (Electric Wizard comes to mind), or for various kinds of rhythm/textural stuff.... if I could afford my ideal rig (which would often be used for trippy/doomy stuff), I'd probably just have a trem... a vibe (or phaser) for swirlies... and delay/reverb... not counting the standard dirt and EQ and so on... Members acdc518
I would say a tremolo. but honestly the trippyest thing i've ever heard/ played is the riff to 'Pink Lady Lemonade' by Acid Mothers Temple. and that was with a clean guitar.
