Members AcheWater
1. Is the volume mod worth it, and if yes, who does it best? 2. Where do you place yours in line? I used to play with it in the FX loop, but recently I have moved it in front of my dirt and really like it, there.
Members FuzzShifter
Wouldn't know about the volume mod. I've owned two vintage Small Stones (traded the older one to a forumite), and haven't modded one, yet.I use a compressor after it to level it, and my wah, out. I like to put it just before dirt pedals, just after wah.

Members Naterel
I recently put my Russian Small Stone into the loop of a Boss NS-2 and it brought it up, makes it sounds real good

Good phaser. no, mine never had it either, (recent reissue) I guess you are either lucky and get a good one or you aren't and get one with {censored}ty parts? Members kismet78
Mine was pretty bad. Easy mod though if you can desolder/solder a resistor or two: http://www.kyletompkins.com/wp/?p=
Members goldenboy8167
I had a black Russian one and it did have a volume drop (and it didn't sound as good as my vintage one that lost it's mojo). I bought one from Analogman and it sounds good w no drop.

So does my version 3:idk:.
