Hi all

NOT the DELUXE MM, Im talking just the 330ms memory man that has been out of production for quite a while. There are two on the bay, running under $100 and Im curious what the street value is to the forums.

Yes I know by bringing these up, I wont probably win them, but I was curious to talk about them anyways.

what years did the blue and black boxes run? etc.

Which version is it? Do you have links?

There were three versions of the non-Deluxe MM. The first Memory Man had about 300ms and no chorus, then came the Memory Man with chorus, and then the Stereo Memory Man with chorus. I don't know the exact years these were made, but I'm assuming each one was made after the last. Color of these units doesn't tell you anything about when they were made. EH seemingly ramdomly used alternate color schemes sometimes, like the blue and black rather than usual black and gray or black and red with Memory Mans.

These were released around '76, and are among the oldest. They are not stereo, nor do they have chorus. I'll bet the repeats are pretty dirty, as they probably use the Reticon 1024 BBDs. They will definitely sell for more than $100.

These are the next generation, which probably began around '79. They have chorus, but still not stereo, and probably use the Panasonic BBDs.

These are the most recent versions with chorus and stereo outputs:

I bought a modern one for about $60 18 months ago, but sold it to afford an SMMH. That was stupid of me, because I haven't seen one on eBay sell for less than $130 in the last year.

I was on the lookout for one to use alongside my DMM a few months back, and when going through completed listings I saw that on the one day I didn't check, one went for $65 BIN. Like you said, they seem to float around the century mark or higher. I was so bummed, but I later ended up getting another DMM, so all was well in the end

I'd still like to try one someday though.
