Members Crxsh
Any fans out there? I'm not one necessarily ... but still, this was kinda of a surprise to me. Last year was rough ... and the year before that was wrecked by that stupid foot injury. Still, 3 Pro-Bowls in 8 years is pretty impressive -- especially with a pretty good QB (he was injured for awhile there too) under center. Good move? Bad move? What's the verdict? And what's in store for Shaun?

Members Rogueweez
Not everyone in Washington hates Shaun...but they sure hate the way he ran the ball the last two seasons. Word on the street is that the Colts and Patriots are interested, but that seems like a stretch. Oh, and we call them the Stealers here, and the Jax/Stealers playoff game was one of the happiest games of my life.
Members bluehuricane
^ yup. my best friend is a die hard steelers fan and made like 500 bucks off that super bowl...the bastard...
Members Crxsh
Oh, and we call them the Stealers here, and the Jax/Stealers playoff game was one of the happiest games of my life. Call them what you want .... but I don't think I've ever missed Willie Parker more than that day. If we would've been able to move a little more methodically, rather than hitting the big plays in the 4th quarter .... we probably would've won that game. That was a sad day for me. Oh well ... we've got, what? 5 reasons to smile?
Members myTakamine
The writing's been on the wall for Alexander since the 'Hawks signed not one but two potential replacements. My son's going to be sad when he hears, though.
Members shaun126
They will probably be missing the Sonics a little more.
Members Keith SIO
big fan. glad he is off the team, but I love the man to death for what he did for us. Perfect replacement of Watters. Jones isn't the best replacement for Alexander, but he will bring our run back.
Members Keith SIO
to set the record straight on XL....The trick play burned us. Josh Brown Burned us. Clock Management burned us. The game was ours for the taking. We just had the wrong team for the job. Stevens wasn't the man we needed in there. Hasselbeck is the new Alexander though. Always a good QB, but he's been great in the absence of our running game. The day Hasselbeck goes will be a sad one in Seattle. Hell, the day Holmgren goes is gonna be bad. I'm travelling to see the Holmgrens last home game to send him off with my respect.
Members mike.sartori
Being from new england, sometimes I am surprised when teams keep players for seemingly sentimental reasons. Shaun Alexander should have been gone two years ago. It's unfortunate, but most running backs can't perform much past 30.
Members T Stre
I'm a 49ers fan (yeah, they're terrible right now, but I'm not abandoning them!!!)....but I always did like alexander. Good back.

Members Rogueweez
I think I'll be sadder if MoMo leaves. That guy was always there to bust his ass when Shaun couldn't/wouldn't.
Members byteblock
I'm not sad to see Alexander go away. I get tired of these high and mighty players who wont go the extra mile for the game. He's more worried about getting hurt than winning.
Members Folky_Grunge
byteblock, I'm also a Paul from Washington State-weird. I'll probably miss Alexander more than the Sonics. Other than that, I think it's a little surprising, he has been doing well the past few years. I would be sadder if Hasslebeck left.
