Members jimwratt
Well, here's a bird's eye viewPros - awesomenessCons - discontinued seriously though, I liked the sound of the OD more than the Distortion. I think the features of the pedal are better suited for OD style tones rather than hard distortion (the ability to blend clean signal back in and the boost). As you can see in my sig, I am a fan of the OD, but I can also say the distortion is also really good. I don;t understand why that series was discontinued. Members bluesguitar65
Don't know if the Wasabi overdrive is discontinued, but you can still get it at MF for an outrages price of $99.00. I purchased two of them a few months ago when MF had it for $19.99. Both overdrive and distortion are great.

Before it went on clearance, it was $120 like the rest.
Members waveman
I had both of these a couple of years back: The distortion has a rat/mxr distortion flavor but with more options. The OD is capable of just about any type of OD you want. Pros:Boost works without od/distortion engaged. Each can sound like a different pedal with the twist of knobLots of EQ optionsMix dry/incoming signal with dirt signalThe distortion has a secret little thingy in the battery compartment that enables an echo, but it sounds kinda cheesy. Cons: Distortion: Not as much sustain as I would like, though if you put an OD in front, it will do just that. The Wasabi OD worked the best out of all the ones I tried, like they were meant to be paired together. OD: Not really any real complaints except some overall stuff Overall Cons: The switches and pots seem cheap and sometimes I felt like both pedals sounded a little processed, but no worse than any newer inexpensive OD's like the bad monkey. The size.

I think I should shoot for the distortion then over the od, as I would run it mainly at 50% gain, and that might be over the top range of the od pedal... with the mix, can it be 90% clean signal, and 10% insane overgained hissy texture in the background? bad sustain, or just not as good as you would hope? does it cut out during the natural decay? With the sustain, it doesn't really decay unnaturally, it is just really dry, thus not much decay at all. As far as the mix, 90% might be a little strong, but you would just have to try it out to see if the texture is what you have in mind.
Members jmgruber
The distortion can not do low gain, it is balls out distortion, but still sounds very good. PM if you are interested as I have one available that is minty fresh.
