Does anyone have a schematic for turning the momentary footswitch into a latching one for loop recording? I hear that there is a small side-mounted switch involved. Is the tap/record switch actually replaced for different hardware, or does a side mounted switch change the function of the original hardware?

 

I'm definately going to get this done, but I want to have something to show the guy who's doing it for me (I have no technical skill).

 

I checked just about the whole SMMH lounge thread, but couldn't find any details about it.

why are you doing this? is holding down the switch really that difficult to adjust to? i find it very intuitive.

It's harder to get the timing right coming out of the loop. I know I'm not the only one, either. It's easier to get it 100% of the time when you stomp in / stomp out rather than holding it down the whole time during recording.

This also frees up the feet to manipulate other pedals during recording. I can put wah and other effects in my loop a lot easier.

I was quoted $40 for the labor - well worth it.
