Members Whipper
I just sold my MM4 because, while it did a lot of different things, I didn't feel it did any of them particularly well. It was uniformly so-so. So of course, I'm assuming the Delay Modeler would be similarly disenchanting. Anyone feel differently? Can you confirm my hunch? Thanks. Members Taylor.
I think you mean the DL-4. I don't own one, but I've played a gig with one and really liked how easy it was to use. However, that's supposedly it's only redeeming quality. :/
Members jlantsberger
I like mine, but it sort of sounds like your problem: does a lot, but not all of it super well. I usually just go with the digital delay or echo soudns on it - the rest certainly usable, but not great. I hear they have serious reliability issues, but mine's been fine for the past year and a half that I've had it. That said, it's only seen like 2 gigs and a handfull of practices in that time... Members Belt
Of the modeling series, the DL-4 gets the most props.

Members cdawzrd
I think the downside is that they are plagued by reliability issues. For a multi-effect, I think they have an astonishing number of usable sounds, and they definitely get respect from the pros (Frusciante comes to mind first, although he uses all three of the modeler pedals). If you can afford to replace it if it fails, it's a sweet pedal. Sometimes the broken ones can be fixed by opening 'em up and reseating an IC, but YMMV.
