The holes of my new fralin pickups don't match the holes on my pickguard??

I posted this on the electric guitar forum too, but..This is really ticking me off. I finally got my new fralin blues specials soldered into my tele and now I find that the neck pickup is shorter in length than the duncans that were in it and the pickguard's holes are wider. Anyone else have this problem? Why the hell would you make a pickup that doesn't fit a standard tele pickguard? Any help would be great. I want to play the tele bad.

I had that happen with a routed P-bass clone, I got new pickups and they were smaller than the others! Never thought to check, because I assumed that all p-bass pickups were the same size... not much to do about it, though.

I got it used. Its american, but I don't think he did that. It has to do with the pickguard. It has a standard pickguard on there and the holes on the pickup that are there to screw it to the pickguard do not align. Another question though, Once I figure this out..where do the little rubber feet go? Do they go over the screw once its in or between the pickguard and the pickup or what? Thanks.

Before you blame the Fralins, BTW FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC pickups methinks as I am a fanboy. I also may not be understanding ya but many Tele pickups don't mount to the pickguard. Mine doesn't. Take a look at this one for example:

Well I'm def. not flaming fralins. They are AMAZING. They do have two holes to be mounted to the pickguard but I'll try without it. It doesn't have the silver face plate either, he says it drowns out tone. To me it seems like the pickup will just fall if I don't screw it to the pickguard. How would I go about this?
