Members mightysasquatch
I mean, my DD-20 already models the Roland Space Echo, along with a million other uses. I don't use very much echo/delay, but what I do use is mostly tape echo settings. Is the RE-20 a big step up from the DD-20 as far as the tape echo sounds go? What are the pro's & con's to having both? Thanks for any help!
Members veil
RE-20 gets one specific, fantastic sound DD-20 gets several sounds and presets.
Members aussy
Well since you said you use the tape setting for the most part when you do use delay, it'd make sense to replace the dd20 with the re20, since you're not using the different delay sounds dd20 has to offer. This is exactly what I did. I only used the tape delay setting, and used a tap tempo switch to change delay times. So I traded it in for an RE-20, never looked back. Members mike.sartori
I too, am in the boat of simple echo users. I do not need a feature laden pedal, only a great sound, and tap tempo. The RE-20 does both swimmingly. I do actually like that weird ramp up thing it does when you hold down the tempo button too.

Ramp down > Ramp up.
Members mightysasquatch
While I don't use many delays, I use the DD-20's looping capabilities quite a bit, so I'm gonna hang onto it. I was just curious how the RE-20 was superior to the DD-20. Thanks for the replies!
