Members BlackCustom
I haven't seen much talk about these, I am looking to add some distortion to compliment my fulldrive2. I like the versatility in something like the plexidrive, but am finding it is a good idea to play things in person. If anyone has tried out any of the tonebone preampy/distortiony pedals out there, I'd be interested in hearing about it.

They are awesome, extremely amp-like. I don't have a ton of experience with Fulltone stuff, but I'm not sure it would really be that different from your fulldrive... I Love the Classic and also have a Hot Brit, but IMO the hotbrit sounds more like a pedal and the Classic sounds real, if that makes sense. Here is a sample of the Tonebone Classic, in this demo: Starts at 2:
Members srspud
I have a FD II and the Hot British. I think they go well together. I run the FD II after the Hot British. The HB can be tweaked quite a bit so don't go thinking you won't get a sound out of it that you like. It's an amazing distortion box.
Members BlackCustom
Thanks for the comments. I think it could be a nice compliment, the FD2 is more of an overdrive than distortion. I am also plugging into a one knobbed amp, so the on board eq is attractive. Has anyone seen these at GC? I'd think I'd like to try it out before I lay down the cashola.
