Members IRG Posted April 26, 2008 Members Posted April 26, 2008 I kinda like these Squier vintage modded Teles, this one has a minibucker in it: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/document?cpd=0OEY&doc_id=99371&base_pid=512574&index=3 and this one has a humbucker in the neck, no middle pup: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Squier-Vintage-Modified-Telecaster-SH-Electric-Guitar?sku=512575 Seems like they would make good platforms to mod. Yeah or nay? $300 new.
Members FuzzShifter Posted April 26, 2008 Members Posted April 26, 2008 I really like the first one...neck mini-buckers sound great.

My local shop had one, and it was surprisingly nice. The neck is very high gloss, which is not like most Squier necks. I've heard the stock pups, actually pretty decent too. I might actually sell my Gibson LP Special and get this, and maybe a pedal or two. Seems weird, selling a Gibson for a Squier
Members IRG Posted April 26, 2008 Author Members Posted April 26, 2008 I looked at one of those new Bullet Strat Squiers the other day ($99) heckuva guitar for the price of a mid range pedal. Would also make a good platform for modding.
Members homestar_kevin Posted April 26, 2008 Members Posted April 26, 2008 I love the thinline one. Thats the only one I've played in person, but if the rest play as well as that one did then they're all great
