Members kyrreca
Why do you need to remove the rubber? I just put velcro on top of it, works like a charm.

Members monkeyland
i always removed the rubber bacause the velcro always seemed to come off if stuck to it or when removing the velcro later on the sticker underneath would get messed up...which ruins the serial number. doesn't bother me but some people care about things like that no more velcro for me these days though. Members sense_of_henry
I pulled carefully and used Goo Gone at the same time. Start at a corner, pull away and pour some Goo Gone between the rubber and pedal. It comes off really easy this way (Take the bottom plate off before pouring Goo Gone...obviously). Members Belt
I've gone away from velcro too. But a good clean surface and some good velcro = happiness. I just didn't like velcro. Moved on to the bike chain.
