I'm super pumped about Dap99's new Crxsh Bxxst ... and about the fact that it'll be here next week. The knob is in and on, and now that it is complete, I'll finally get to play it. Dap is a stand up guy, a real asset to HCFX IMO, and one of my new HCFX buddies. Way to be. 2. I got some new pups in the mail today too... equal amounts of excitement for those. I landed a GFS Premium Texas Strat set on eBay last week and can't wait to get them into my MIM strat. After playing some Texas Specials, I'm very excited about loading these up. I also landed a VERY economical deal on a GFS Retrotron Liverpool Alnico Humbucker for the bridge of my SG. I think that'll match up nicely with the GFS Vintage Split I have in the neck. 3. I've done it! [Nitefly should rejoice here.] I have agreed to a deal with Iamtehcure for his Montgomery Appliances Filter Sample & Hold. He hasn't been using it and offered to pass it on to me. I've been bugging Nitefly off-and-on since he announced that he wouldn't be building them anymore about making me one .... but to date, he hasn't appeased me. I loved the sound of the YouTube clip ... and I'm hoping that it's just as good in person. That should be here late next week, and I'm VERY excited about getting that. 4. I'm kinda frustrated with the Steelers organization right now. Mendenhall in the first round? Maybe it was the best pick to be had ... but we have MANY more needs than RB right now. (Namely our O-line & secondary IMO.) We've got Willie Parker, who was leading the league in rushing until he broke his leg. We've got Najeh Davenport, who was pretty good on 3rd down. We landed Mewelde Moore in the offseason who can catch and run out of the backfield ..... so what do we need with another running back? (After looking at the board again though ... this was probably the best pick. I'm hoping we can trade or something for an OL. I was praying that Otah would be there .... but after Carolina traded up for him .... I don't see what we would've done without REALLY reaching for someone.) The 2nd round pick was to make Ben happy ..... and I expected to take a WR there .... but I really hope we can pull something out in the later rounds and find a suitable replacement for Alan Faneca. I got the GFS Liverpool Retrotron in the bridge of my SG and it's surprising nice. 3. I dug out some bulk cable I had and a couple ends and made myself a nice 5' board-to-amp cable. 4. I got the deal finalized with IAtC on the FS&H ..... Pics to follow. Unfortunately ... We were talking it over and finally agreed to a price. And it was an outright buy, not a trade. Actually, I think I'm done trading for awhile .... I have a pretty decent pedal collection now and I'm actually pretty satisfied with my setup right now. I'm using all my pedals quite a bit and like I said, I'm pretty happy with my setup. I would like to swap my MicroPOG with an Octron though .... so maybe I'll go on another spree and completely change my rig again this month. We'll see. Honestly though, other than the MicroPOG ... I'm not sure what I could give up in a trade at this point ..... so time will tell on my trading life. I'm constantly gassing though ....... so we'll see.
