woops nearly forgot to say the style of music i play

i like a wide variety of styles, from clapton to iron maiden, to metallica back to electronic

i want something that will really interact with my distortion and have some wild sounds....keeping my original notes still present...hmm i would also like it to be able to be backed off a little bit and have a nice round sound to it, like a sine wave curve not triangle

I really dont think style changes the flanger that would be good for you. Most flangers can pull off the full range of sounds so unless you cant handle metallic and you need an A/DA or something, style isn't going to make a huge difference.

IF having the AC cable on your pedal board, isn't an issue, then yes... :thu: A couple of friends of mine have the EVH version and it sounds authentic to me, but has a wall wart (18V), so that may present a powering issue with your board's power supply. It may not, but it's something to consider.

I'm trying to decide between a Guyatone FL-3 and a Boss BF-3 at the moment. The Guyatone sounds nice and unmetallic, but the Boss just seems a hell of a lot more tweakable and has tap tempo and that freaky/cool gate effect.

Any opinions on those two? [/threadjack]
