Members joems
what's a good "brand" or best bang for the buck pedal for acoustic simulation sounds?
Members frankiej
no acoustic sims get close enough to an actually acoustic guitar, IMHO. then again im not help.
Members joems
I'm not looking for a 100% acoustic sounds, just enough to get close to it, I used to have an AC-2 awhile back, stoopid me I sold it. I have a Parker Fly Delux and love the sound that I get from the Fishman pick-up (although it wasn't intended to simulate acoustic sounds). And I have another guitar that I love, but at times I need that almost acoustic sound that I could get from the Parker.and yeah getting an acoustic amp or change the bridge to an acoustic pickup modeler crossed my mind but then again it MAY cost me more than just getting a pedal. Members Jeremy Skrenes
This: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Rogue-Dreadnought-Cutaway-AcousticElectric-Guitar?sku=519292 Ok, so it's not a pedal, but for $130 it's hard to go wrong. If you absolutely want a pedal, just buy a behringer. There might be better ones out there, but they won't be MUCH better, and at least you won't feel like you dropped $100 on a pedal that sounds like crap. Members Jeremy Skrenes
I'm pretty sure the Behringer is just an AC-2 clone, but it only costs $30-40US. Depending on the type of guitar, you can also pick up another fishman or LR baggs bridge piece for $100-250. I had an AC2 for a while too, sold it, and from what I've read of user reviews of other acoustic sim pedals, the AC2 isn't a great pedal but none of the others are much good either. Members joems
yeah I agree with that 100% that the tone will depend on your type of guitar (pickups used and what kind of wood on the body of the guitar) when using a pedal. I guess I'll have to wait and save for awhile and get those saddles/bridge acoustic pickups.
Members Kassanova
Try the Boss AC-3. Check the video demo on this page and that way you can see if its what you're looking for.http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Boss-AC3-Acoustic-Simulator?sku=151043
Members joems
i don't know it's just prob me, there is a "glassy" factor on those sounds but overall it sounds ok, I might pick up a used one for less than 50 usd.
