Small Powered Pedal Board Recommendations Please?

Can I get a few recommendations for a smaller to medium pedal board that has a built in power source. Needs to hold and power a good handful of pedals.

If it doubles as a case or storage box great, if not that's OK too. I'm looking for the best cross between low price and quality.

At long last, I'm assembling a collection of stomp boxes...sold all my old stuff and I'm starting fresh.

Cheers!

i like that too, but that's more than i want to spend. maybe i could find a used one.

wonder what the lighted logo looks like. doesn't sound desirable! good alliteration though.

Well really, if you want to keep it cheap you can get a Rondo case and a 1-Spot that probably wouldn't cost you over $60.

The Pedal Pad stuff looks like a great product, though. I would trust their power supplies.

Why do you want the power supply built in? You're probably not saving any money or space over buying a separate power supply and board. You're going to need to spend around the same amount to still get a decent power supply that's not a useless brick. I wouldn't want it built in because if you want to move to another board, larger or smaller, you just lost your power.

Very true. The Pedal Pad has a removable power supply you can move with your stuff, but stuff like the SKB/Furman boards are pretty much stuck for that.

make your own man, honest it doesn't take much time, it's cheaper...and you can make exactly what you need! get either a dunlop brick, or even a bbe supa charger on ebay for relatively cheap...building a board is fun too man!

+1

Making your own board is so great. And then you feel so accomplished afterward!

If you want an upgrade from the 1-spot, get a Gator G-bus for like $80... It's worked out great for me, not noisy at all and so far, really dependable. I use that with a Pedaltrain 2, but you could go with a PT-JR to save money... You can find them used for under $100

how much better is a voodoo labs pedal power two over the original?? Could never figure this out.

It adds more support for nonstandard (non 9v boss-style) pedals, and I think it has a slightly higher power rating.

i wasn't aware of the 1-spot. that changes everything. are they a reliable power source for 5 or 6 pedals?

i need to check eBay for a brick too

I've used a one spot for a couple of years now, anywhere from 3-8 pedals with no issues. Great, great value imo. A few people have experienced noise issues with their particular rigs, but I think that's the exception, not the rule.
