Members Don Maxxx
Ok, as you see I'm looking for building a rig, so I tought I need some stompboxes too.a reverb, an overdrive and maybe a leslie speaker simulation.I want the overdrive for blues, so not too gainy. I want to still keep that strat sound alive, so I don't want a tone sucker. Will play a EJ Sig Strat throu a Peavey Classic 30. Thanks!
Members huskerjohn
I suggest a fulltone deja vibe for your leslie and the fulltone fulldrive 2 for your overdrive. The FD2 is very bluesy and matches up great with a strat. This will leave you about $100 for a reverb if you get the above used.

Members huskerjohn
they are both sweet pedals.Still thinking on the reverb.Any other opinions? I had and sold a Lovepedal Vibe. It is a very good pedal that will cost less than the Deja Vibe. I liked the Deja Vibe better because of the added vibrato function. The sound of the lovepedal vibe is unique, whereas the deja vibe tries to duplicate the original. Both are good at the "vibe" thing. For reverb, I haven't found a pedal that I like enough to make a recommendation.

Members DylanWilde
Reverb - Nova Reverb. Supposed to be superb. $250 Line6 Verbzilla. Also supposed to be very, very good. $110 Electro Harmonix Holy Grail. The Holy Grail gets a LOT of love. $120 Electro Harmonix Holier Grail. More tweakable version of HG. $200 Overdrive - Too many to decide, just choose which one you like. Anything from the Bad Monkey to the Liquid Sunshine to whatever else. Go for it. Leslie Sim - Digitech EX-7. You get a great, very adjustable leslie simulator with univibe, whammy, space station, and flanger sounds also. It's a foot controlled unit, like a wah, which is weird, but if you put it in a true bypass loop, you have a TB on/off footswich and adjustable wah-like treadle for the speed. $200 . . .Loop master Single True Bypass strip with LED. $

Members Don Maxxx
I see that the zendrive is very appreciated round here. Is this what I want? I didn't found any clips with a strat. I want a transparent overdrive, something to don't colour my tone so much, I want to keep that stratty tone It has true bypass?
Members Lanefair
I use a Verbzilla and rotomachine with my classic 30 and they both sound great. You could just buy the reverb and then buy the module for the roto to try it out cheap. About OD, I use a bad monkey into my classic 30 with level on max and gain on min. It brings the normal channel to almost breakup, and turning up the bass a bit on the bad monkey gives the OD channel a good kick up the arse. The BM doesn't really get into heavy territory, but it really beefs up the amp, and is dirt cheap.
Members mike.sartori
The guy who suggested a Liquid Sunshine knows a thing or two - this pedal really lets the sound of your guitar shine through. Another option I like is a germanium rangemaster type pedal, like the HBE Germania, it gives a great sounding grit, while still allowing your guitars tone to come through. I also like the RT-20 quite a bit, especially if you get the chance to run it in stereo.

Members mike.sartori
3 votes for the Liquid Sunshine! believe it or not, I also heard a good demo of the behringer rotary pedal. $40 on that, and you can buy the next thing you don't realize you need yet!
