Members MegaTom Posted May 5, 2008 Members Share Posted May 5, 2008 Sure, if the amp is set so that it is on the edge of achieving its own natural distortion (just as you would do with a dedicated clean-boost pedal) and the EQ pedal has a level control capable of boosting the volume at least somewhat cleanly. Members CiceroTJones Posted May 5, 2008 Members Share Posted May 5, 2008 I used to use an MXR 6-band EQ (no level control), but it definitely boosts the volume of the amp if you push a slider past unity.
