Members rileykill
Yeah any of the 650's would be very cool to own. Ricks are sweet guitars.
Members R Corso
I had a 650 C for a while. It was like a Ric and a Les Paul had a baby. It smelled good, too. Brand new Rics have that candy smell. I don't knwo what it is, but bet it's poison.

Members newstrat60
he he, thanks everybody for your comments, and bravo to CS for his OT pic anyways the reason I started the thread is the Ric 450-XII that Fred "Sonic" Smith played in the MC5 and in Sonic Rendezvous Band. It was a 12 string played as a 6, and modified with PAF's. The vintage 6 string model looks like this : So nobody has a 450 or a 650 ?

Members newstrat60
^ I like that. Yeah, and I dont like that contemporaries 600 series string-though-bodies models are sold only with a maple fretboard

Members Fingermush
he he oh, guitars now :arg: seriously my pedal-board for this thing allows me to get guitar/analog synth madness & even deep-rooted bass tones.

It makes me remember a vid of "Death from Above 1979", basically a 2 people band, with a bass player playing with a Rick and heavy fuzz, and a drummer. sounded killer. Members gorebuc
OK, THIS is nice. Except the bridge. Why they dont make string trhu body with mahogagny fretboard ??? I would imagine it plays a big role in letting people get the classic Rickenbacker tone, even from a solidbody. if it was string through, it wouldn't be quite so resonant and chimey.
