Members miggy01
What are my options? Are there any really weird mods to it?I'd love a dual tremulus lune but I really really don't want to spend 250 on a trem.
Members TomCTC
Of course there's Keeley, but I've been looking at a few places to get my Phase 90 and TR-2 modded to see if I should keep them around. Check out this guy, nice and cheap and to the point:http://www.fxdoctor.com/
Members miggy01
Ah, thanks, I've actually been looking for that website. I may just go for that one if I don't find any crazy ones. Are there no just completely messed up mods for this thing? I'm thinking like http://www.jhspedals.com-a.googlepages.com/storefront That kind of crazy, but for a tr-2. Members pepperduck
Not to sound like a broken record, but I LOVE my Analog Man TR-2. It just sounds great and he completely gets rid of the volume drop.
Members miggy01
If I'm going for a simple mod like fixing the volume drop and changing its tone I'll just go for fxdoctor. What I'd really love is a messed up mod with a bunch of options, anybody have one? Members kpd78
there are some really easy mods you can do yourself (if you can solder or know someone who can do it for you). if you change just 3 resistors you can fix the volume drop (which the newest ones don't suffer from iirc), change the waveform (make it stronger or weaker) and change the range of the speed control (highest speeds can get ringmod-ish, but you lose the slower speeds). i've done all of these before and it literally is just 10mins work. i've got a TR-2 at the moment to which i've done the volume and waveform mods and am planning to do the speed mod - this time using a toggle switch so i can have slow and fast. Members TomCTC
i've heard bad things about that guy, no personal experience... Is that right? Hrmmm... strange. Really all a TR-2 needs is a volume knob, a pulsating LED, and some higher quality guts. I just read up on the Analogman site, his mod sounds great. Members byteblock
I've seen a mod where the rate knob was replaced with a jack to plug in a volume pedal. I can't remember where I saw that.
Members tommyld
The TR-2 sounds great. I'd say the biggest thing is--get the volume drop fixed. Everything beyond that is just a bonus.
