Members nwtsnma
I want to have STRONGER sound more like Strat in the Middle. Is it FUZZ or OVERDRIVE in Strat? Will lower Qual capacitors drive my Sound over Limit into DISTROTIon!!!!
Members fantastico
overdrive is when you turn up the amp and it overdrives. fuzz is just a clipping fx from transistor's.
Members Crxsh
Here's a better solution: Guitar > Overdrive > Fuzz > Amp
Members pbone
Here's a better solution: Guitar > Overdrive > Fuzz > Amp I like Fuzz > Overdrive. I think it's cooler. A little more full, etc.

Guitar > Fuzz > OD > OD > Dist > Fuzz That was just simplified version. At the moment the dirt on my board is: Fuzz > Fuzz > OD > Boost > OD > Fuzz > FuzzI admit that it's a bit over the top. Members IvIark
whats the general rule with distortion fuzz and od?like fuzz>Od>Dist or Dist>Fuzz>OD? Fuzz would normally come first if it was Germanium fuzz which likes being first in the chain. My fuzz is all transistor though so I prefer it after OD so I can add extra gain in the same way I do with an amp. I've never really got on with OD at the end of the dirt chain. That acts more as a volume boost that a gain boost for me and so you don't get the effect I'm looking for out of them. I always end up putting them in ascending order of dirtiness which works for me. The cool thing about pedals is that they can sometimes act in strange and cool ways when combined with other pedals. So some playing around with your pedals when you add a new one can lead to some interesting sounds.
Members Crxsh
I like Fuzz > Overdrive. I think it's cooler. A little more full, etc. The Mayo doesn't play well with OD after it IMO. Before it though.... LOOK OUT.... that'll melt faces.
Members Orwell
Well, since I only use a Fuzz Factory I have to Fuzz >> OD.
