Pedalboard(s) & Power for these pedals?

So I'm revamping my whole rig approach to involve more pedals than I've been using, and here's what I've got in mind:

Guitar --> Boss tuner --> MOJO Vibe --> Red Witch Moon Phaser --> MXR flanger reissue --> MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe --> Bad Monkey --> amp

And then in the amp's fx loop:

send --> Choralflange --> Deluxe Memory Man --> reverb pedal (tba) --> MXR Microamp --> return.

(I'm also toying with the idea of putting a Boss Harmonist in the fx loop; if I do, it would go first, before the chorus ).

The Memory Man is an Analogman-modded one with its own wall-wart, and the flanger takes 18 volts. Everything else, I've been running on a pair of One Spot adapters -- I've had to use two, because when I run stuff in front of the amp and in the loop off the same 1-spot, I get that lovely, lovely HUMMMM. :freak:

What I'm wondering is this: is there a better (smarter  ) way to power up a set up like that? I know the Pedal Power 2 is supposed to be phenomenal, but doesn't it only have 8 outputs? Should I look into a powered pedalboard? Should I keep daisy-chaining the 1-Spots?

I've been playing a while, but I'm still very much a noob when it comes to setting up a rig that involves this many pedals. So any wisdom y'all in the fx forum can drop on me will be GREATLY appreciated! :thu:

Thanks,

Chris

Don't you want modulation in front of the amp?

Well, I've got the vibe, phaser, & flanger in front ... but I've never really been able to get a satisfying chorus sound up front, compared with in the loop.

I should've added that I'm running into an overdriven amp that's set up for AC/DC type crunch, rolling back on the guitar's volume for cleans & using one or the other of the od pedals strictly as boosts for higher gain.

Unlike the phasing or flanging, I just don't care for the sound of chorus running into a crunchy/distorted amp. I know other folks get great results that way, but ... :idk:

Get a good power brick of some type and use the daisy chain on the TU-2?

Thanks, rileykill! :)

A couple follow-up questions: is something like the Dunlop DC Powerbrick a step up from the 1-Spot adapters? Could I run everything off of that (or the TU-2), both up-front and in the fx loop?

Thanks for the response! :D

I can run everything off a DC Brick without hum (well, almost ... I use the power supply that was included for my EHX Holy Grail) BUT most people around here will tell you that using a power supply with isolated outputs is the trick to killing hum if it's caused by the power supply. The DC Brick as I understand it is not isolated.

SO ... and someone please correct me if I'm wrong since I don't have problems with noise ... spending the extra $$ on something like a PP2 would allow you to run pretty much everything in and out of the loop. I guess the TU-2 could help you pick up the slack if you used it for effects that aren't giving you any problems.

And I guess, if I powered the TU-2 from the Pedal Power, I could daisy-chain some other pedals off the TU-2, since the PP wouldn't have enough outputs for everything...
:idk:

yeah i would 100% agree with that, thats what i would do...PP2+ and the TU-2 would power everything...and you would go noooooo hum from the pp2+...problem solved :thu:
