Engl stack questions

1. You can use the G-Major with the ENGL

2. The difference between 50W and 60W is very small. However, in my opinion an effects loop is important on a high gain amp, at least if you plan to use delay or modulation. The G-Major should be placed in a loop. I think the Fireball sounds better than the Screamer too, but I've only played both amps briefly. For more info, ask in the Amp forum.

3. It will sound good with a 2x12. For more info, ask Amp forum

4. Never played an AC-3, but allegedly it's crap. The talk box requires a set up with a microphone and PA, so it might not suit your rig. The other pedals are fine.

5. Don't know

6. I'm pretty sure ENGL provides foot switches. Ask the Amp guys.

7. A power supply like the PP2

8. ask Zachman

9. Don't remember

10. You should determine that after getting your setup finished. Only then will you know if your rig is noisy and whether you need to tweak the EQ.

11. Get one used from eBay or the Spam thread, I guess.

yeah i've heard the AC-3 is pretty {censored} but there's nothing else that really does the same job, so i'm guessing if i want an acoustic sound on stage i'm gonna be stuck with it lol

You should try the AC-3 in a store and see what you think. As I said, I've never tried it personally, and anyway you should never fully rely on what someone tells you on the internet.

Yeah, the PP2 is the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2. There are other good power supplies too, but the PP is very popular and comes at a decent price.

Zachman is HCFX's number one rack gear enthusiast. You'll find him in the OFFICIAL "Zachman on racks thread." (or just post a thread with the word "rack" in the title ;))
