Members Clorox
I'd say yes. It isn't that expensive and it's one of the most well-loved OD pedals there is.
Members Loobster
Well there's two sides to every coin...on the one hand you like it as is, on the other hand it could be incredible with the mod. If it were me, I'd say do the mod. What've you got to lose, it's not that pricey.
Members rinkrat6821
if your happy with it, then why do it? but my lord, does the keeley mod make it sound amazing.
Members kevinsaari
Since you're not in the US, it seems like it'd be more cost efficient just to buy another BD-2 modded by Keeley direct. That way you have both. You could always sell the one you like less down the road.

Members JVanDe7
I can still remember the day my Keeley BD2 arrived in the mail and I plugged it into my Classic 30 and grinned a big fat grin at the sweet sweet glorious sound of electric genius... Ok maybe that's a bit much but seriously, it is a really great mod and I suggest you get yourself one at some point. Very usable versatile OD that gets very fuzzy/hairy if wanted. Sounds smooth and sexy.

Members Instrospection
The BD-2 is one of the most underrated pedals, IMHO. And modifications can improve it just by that much....though I do like it stock, too.
Members machine gunner
I've had the Keeley and stock versions, but the one I like best is the Indyguitarist Brent Mason mod. Great pedal

Great pedal That's what people say. IndyGuitarist/ Brian Wampler does some really great work, and his book is amazing. It's cool that he made that available to anyone who wants it--it's a helluva deal. In it, you get mods for tons of Boss pedals and tons of other pedals. Some of Keeley's mods are even in there, because Keeley let him have the mod specs.

I thought the Keeley was muddy in some settings and added too much compression/mids which is contrary to what the BD-2 is really about. The Indy version just enhances all of the good qualities of the BD-2 instead of completely changing it as the Keeley mod does.

Members Fir3Spell
Well, i wont do those mods.. thanks anyway.CAn you answer me about the switch question?
Members Crxsh
^^^ In theory, yes.... turning off the phat mod switch should return your BD-2 to something similar to what it is stock. My understanding is that most mods change a number of components in the BD-2 though, so it may not be EXACTLY stock. IMO however, the best BD-2 is the modded BD-2. I couldn't stand the splatty breakup mine had.
Members Belt
Once you swap a component, originality is lost. Unless you toggle the mods... you won't have stock anymore.
Members stratotastic
Anybody try the Monte Allums H2O mod? Of all the sound clips I've heard, that one sounds best to me, but it's hard to know since all the clips are recorded differently. Here, listen.
