Members rinkrat6821
Looking to get more creative with the noise I create so figured the first thing to do would be to get a second delay pedal. What has everyone found that matches best with the DMM? I was thinking a Dl4 or a disaster transport....What other pedals would you recommend for some spacey, ambient sounds? Members bluehuricane
nova delay is awesome with the triplet + quarter or dotted + quarter settings for setting up spacey washes. i think using the dmm to oscillate in front of it would be amazing! Members rinkrat6821
I'll have to check into those. Heard great things about them though. I def. want to have some osscilation going on in some songs in the background.

Members Jules-RM
I know this is starting to sound like a tired joke... But RV3. I just love the combonation. Probably something digital would work best. The Nova looks pretty tasty. I've always had problems wiht Line 6. DT, well. I've never heard them stacked, it might be good - lots of modulation. Members rinkrat6821
I've heard that before...why would a digital and analog combo. be better than a analog/analog combo.? If I went digital I would def. pick up a dl4, disaster transport, or an eventide time factor, analog I'm leaning towards the carbon copy.

I don't want anything else coloring the signal after the DMM. Depending on the analog delay, it will have it's own sonic character on the repeats. When you feed that into the DMM you will have the charcter of the first delay repeated by the DMM. Digital delays only spit out delayed portions of what you put in, and that's what I like about them. Very little sonic coloration. I guess it's just a matter of taste, as usual.

So you put your digital delay right before your DMM? I couldn't quite grasp what you were saying about the signal of the digital going into the DMM though... Do you set the digital for long delays and the DMM for short? And do you have them out at the same time often? I wonder how crazy that sounds!!? The DMM is a huge part of my sound as well. Thanks again.

Members squareking
DL4 for versatility and looping potential; DE7 for a straight-up, excellent digital delay.

Thanks again. Yeah, I have the RV3 first and set it to longer repeats than the DMM. Most here tend to prefer short delays > long delays, but I think this is more interesting. You get the initial string pluck, then DMM, the RV3 (without modulation), then DMMs repeat of guitar, then DMMs repeat of the RV3 delay putting modulation on it... and so on. It's like a triple tap delay. I don't notice the lack of warmth from the RV3 because of the DMM. I'd say the pair are on about half the time, other half is just DMM, and there's maybe a couple songs without delay that are heavier distortion. Members rinkrat6821
I tried the SMMH and really didn't like it. It sounded like I was playing delays in a tin can or something. I prefer the dl4 over it by far. I think I'll grab a dd-7 along with an rc-2 or rc-20xl Thanks guys.
Members archofmusic
It's gotta be something with Reverse Delay. I just got the Behringer EM600 Echo Machine (Line 6 Echo Park Clone). Reverse delay is a must.

Members orangesix
My chain goes PDS 1002 (in loop 3) then RV-3 -> DMM -> Nova Delay -> RV-5 (in loop 4). i plan to add a RE-20 in loop 3 between the PDS and RV-3. anyway, the RV-3, DMM, Nova combo is great.
