Buy some good running shoes and have your gait analyzed at a running store. Seriously trust me it makes a difference. Trainers suck for running.

My girlfriend is a super health freak, so I eat alot of salad and chicken and what have you.

Plus I like to walk places. Driving isn't my bad, I like to stroll and reflect and listen to tunes. Much nicer experience, and it's better for you too.

A friend of mine took me to a Macrobiotic lunch the other day and I loved it. I never thought I would be into health food or even like it but I can keep an open mind. Macrobiotic is basically a very balanced meal. It's vegan, which I never thought I would like, and contains a "superfood" like seaweed (which I hate on sushi but loved how they cooked it). I know, it sounds gross, but it really wasn't. It's just very different from everything you've eaten before. But if you've eaten at gourmet restaurant you can probably appreciate stuff that tastes a little different.

It makes all the other stuff you normally eat (burgers, fries, pizza) actually seem really gross and greasy. A friend of mine went completely vegan (he's got really overweight parents). He's like 6'-2" and dropped like 50 lbs. He says he feels better than he's ever felt before. Apparently a lot of cancer patients eat Macrobiotic meals to help try and heal themselves (alternative medicine and healthy diet). I'm trying to go at least once a week. I think if you eat one macrobiotic meal a week you will start eating healthier in general, just cause those greasy foods really start to gross you out.

14lbs = 1 stone.

I'm 6ft3 and weigh 14st. I have lost half a stone since January which is when I gave up drinking Coca Cola.

i was a coke-fiend. especially working as a waiter i would just fill up my cup at the bar every few minutes all night. since i kicked coke and limited my beer intake i've lost about 15 lbs since winter. another thing i would do is come home and eat before going to bed, now i try not to eat after about 6pm. i also ride my bike alot in the summer. i usually put on about 20 lbs in the winter, which is f'in long here... when the jeans start to get tight i know i have to get back on track.

I have a pretty large frame... I'm 188cm (6'2") and around 185lbs. I bike to work every day, then run for about an hour or so after work at my local HS's outdoor track. Also, 3 times a week I do aerobics with my GF. It also helps to have a job that requires a little bit of manual labor every now and then throughout the day.

I eat like a pig though... 1/2 Italian, so go figure. So I pretty much need to burn it off. I'd like to thin down a little bit though... get less bulky, and more wiry.

This thread is inspiring. :love:

Run tomorrow morning.

Going running on a running track is a good idea. There's one near me, there's just always school kids there. I need to go at a quieter time.

I'm 6 ft and 150 lbs. I boulder a lot, and run a couple miles occasionally. If you don't know what bouldering is, it is like short, intense rock climbing. Really fun! :thu:

Hey, you speak our language buddy, not the other way round!

I hate to bring up things from the first page, but "The Queen's English" was closer to the American accent than the current British accent. Believe it or not, accents change more when a language stays in one place, and less when a language migrates.

im tall (6' 1") and pretty skinny. i have a crappy diet sometimes, but lately i have balanced the crap out with good stuff (lots of water, more veggies and fruit, and more balance in the actual meals themselves) and i also run when i can. i would like to get back into the habit of getting up at the crack of dawn and jogging, but im lazy.

i have pretty much been 160 since my senior year of high school, and im 22 now.

i think its all about balance. eat what you like, but balance it out with stuff you need, like fruits and veggies, grains, etc. water is very important. its crazy how much better i feel during the day if i have a couple glasses of water in the morning or during work.

I go bouldering from time to time. I haven't been able to lately because of finals, but after them I'm gonna hit it hardcore. It's awesome.
