I imagine the guitar was unplayable at that point, he came down on it pretty hard....it must have been well out of tune at the least, if not damaged. I love that song. the Foos are one of those bands that have maybe 2 or 3 songs that, IMO, keep them afloat. I just don't care for the majority of what they do. I think their first album is solid but then I'm bored by them after that apart from 2-3 songs like you said. Is Pat Smear back in the band full time yet? they need to make that happen. The last interview I saw Dave basically said Pat will always be 'in' the Foo's. I think he just has other comitments or doesn't really want to be touring and recording full time with them.....I think it's like an open door policy and he comes and goes as he pleases, they are obviously very good friends.
