So i went out, bought my materials, and made my board today.

I haven't wired it up yet since I just finished staining the top side, ill take more pictures of the finished board once it is dry and wired up.

Sorry for the low quality cell phone pictures.

thanks guys :thu:

the total cost was $30 even.

that included all of the wood needed, the stain, 4ft of velcro, and rubber feet.

im trying to decide if i want to ruin it with velcro. I dont think i will for now, but i might in the future.

what are your thoughts?

Should i make it glossy?

not bad eh?

$30? that's great...

yeah, I know what you mean about the velcro...how about rather than putting big strips across it just put it under the pedals so in between the pedals you'll still be able to see the wood finish?

yeah thats what i was thinking, but what if i wanted to move my pedals around?

then i would have to put new velcro on the board.

Should I Put a glossy clear coat on it?

Looks cool. If you can try the bicycle method of screwing down pedals, you would eliminate the need for velcro. Otherwise, I would cut thin strips of velcro the length of each board, leave some wood showing as a border. That would look cool too.

sweet man, do you have any pics of it so i can see what it will look like? :poke:

Its just a clear coat that seals the wood so water doesnt warp it. Also so it doesnt chip off. Does really effect the look.

Unless you put it on crappy, then it looks bubbly and whatever.
