Ibanez CM-5 Classic Metal

Great Marshall type distortion. The switches suck on the Soundtank series though. But I had mine rehoused into a DS-1 case by echodeluxe.

A local music shop still has this thing sitting around. The switch sucks on it but when it works it seems like it would sound pretty good. How much did it cost to have it rehoused?

I'm glad it's fitting the bill! I knew it would :thu:

I swear, if more people tuned into the Damage Control stuff, you'd start seeing them everywhere. People are afraid of floor-based stuff with tubes in it thanks to shady manufacturers screwing around and using low-voltage starved plate stuff. It's a shame, but I'm glad that some people are willing to give the DC stuff a shot. They may seem big for a pedal, but if you think of it as a little amp that you can carry around with you anywhere, I think it makes a lot more sense.

Have you had a chance to try pedals into it yet? Sort of seals the deal for me, in a way, that they respond to pedals just like an amp would - no faults I can find :)

yeah,i run my cusack screamer fuzz, and lpb1,and they work fantastic,i keep the dc set pretty clean with just a touch of hair and the results are perfect for me,have yet to throw the valveboy in front of it,but i don't really need it.i set the cusack for the dirt sound i want then kick in the lpb1 to slam it into lead, very nice!the boost is there but i don,t find myself needing it.the eq on this beast is exceptional to say the least.thankx again for the great direction. the next is the skreddy lunar module, then i will be getting the mojo fuzz you recomended.p.s. any insight on the axis research METAL BOOGIE BLASTER that caught my attention:wave:

I haven't even heard of that pedal, actually. I'll check into it. But, once again, glad you're digging that unit. Spread the word when you can - I worry that Damage Control as a company won't last if they can't move the product, and I want to see what else they have in store. On my list of things to do is to get the Damage Control Timeline, their hugely functional delay pedal - it's supposed to sound incredible.

I've also thought about a Glass Nexus, but then I'd have to get a midi floorboard and I just don't know if I need that much going on, you know? Plus, it's even more expensive than their other units... But it does have a delay on it, too, which can be adjusted between digital delay, analog delay, and tape delay with a morphing control to dial in where on that continuum you want it to be, and a warm reverb with parameter access as well. If I got a Glass Nexus, I would sell several of my single pedals to do so. That'd be the only way my wife would approve, I think (not to give the wrong impression, she is very supportive of my playing and my gear, but she tries to make sure that I keep things in perspective, and I thank and love her for it!)

yeah, this is seriuosly kick ass stuff there putting out we can't let these go under,i too fell in love with the glass nexus, maybe at a later date.everyone thats heard this womanizer loves it,and i think if they hear the dc stuff there will be no doubt they will be heavy weights in this industry, the products can't be ignored.i think price scares people, but they don't realize the greatness of this stuff.but they will if they just check it out.need more shops to carry this stuff.
