ok so i was bored and this is what happened:

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=719791&content=music

i had no planned idea of what to play and everything was first take, so its sloppy, especially the drums imo, but it has its moments. (1:38 :love: 4:59). apparently my computer glitched during the drum tracking so thats what that weird stutter is 4:00ish.

notable effects: dd-20, digitech expression factory, dano fab chorus, fuzz factory clone

ps angelhair0, i think i stole a couple riffs from you plus batcomputer definitely inspired the chorus use in this song so there you go. you should hang out here more. we miss your videosss

Very cool.

YOU CAN HAZ REVERBURGER. No verb man? DO IT.

I loved it. Drums sounded very Radiohead inspired. What did you use for drums? Something easy and free? I hope so. Id love to get drum sounds like thatin my bedroom.

i think there might have been a hint of amp reverb, like knob set on 2. i have a verbzilla, decided not to use it. :idk:

drums are real! 57 on the snare, cheap shure kick mic, couple overhead condensors + (quite a bit of) compression.

ya it's busy because i didn't edit anything and there are like 6 tracks of guitar, lol

cool man.

what did you use to record? and how did you do the drums?

already went over the drums, the overheads are a mxr 990 or something and a audio technica (at2020?). it's quite the low budget, non professional setup.

the rest is just guitar -> pedals -> amp, close mic'd with a 57.

bass was direct from my ashdown combo in to the mixer.

so the mics running into an audio interface of some kind?

oh, whoops, guess i could've mentioned that huh

continuing with the cheap theme..it's a behringer mixer, ub1204 or something like that. just plugged with some adapters into my computer's sound card which the brand slips my memory.

i've had this setup for a few years now, its just in a bedroom at my parents' house..i'm thinking of getting some kind of real interface in the future.
