Members int.parascope Posted May 19, 2008 Members Posted May 19, 2008 I'm not sure quite what to buy at this point. My initial thinking was leaning towards the Fuzz Factory, but then I heard it's really bright and harsh and that's not my style at all. Then I was leaning towards the Bit Mangler, but I'm not too much of a fan of the price tag, rather not spend $300 on a fuzz is possible. I would want it to cover a fair amount of ground too (droning fuzz sounds, velcro type fuzz, standard (?) fuzz (not quite sure how to describe the sound that i'm thinking of)). I'm listening to samples of other Devi Ever fuzzs now but theres so many it'll take awhile. Anyway, can you give me some recommendations?
Members pbone Posted May 20, 2008 Members Posted May 20, 2008 Analogman Peppermint Fuzz. Sounds great, covers a WHOLE LOT of ground, and is wonderful. Get it, man. You won't regret it.

Members Elazul Posted May 20, 2008 Members Posted May 20, 2008 You should look into the MI Audio Neo Fuzz or GI Fuzz. Go to the MI Audio wedsite and check out the sound clips they have there.
Members huskerjohn Posted May 20, 2008 Members Posted May 20, 2008 Off all my fuzz pedals, I would say the soul bender is my favorite and can cover the most ground.
Members frankiej Posted May 20, 2008 Members Posted May 20, 2008 Look into some Monsterpiece fuzzes. The MKII can do a range of tones.
Members tommyld Posted May 20, 2008 Members Posted May 20, 2008 Devi's got some great stuff. Lots of choices! I've got a Devi Ever US fuzz in the mail. Sounds like you're looking for versatility...the Blackout Effectors Fix'd Fuzz seems to be as versatile as you can get in a small enclosure. Clean/dirty boost, tone control on/off switch, two different fuzzes (one normal, one over-the-top) that you can flip on or off or use together. I've also got a Fix'd Fuzz on the way.
Members mike.sartori Posted May 20, 2008 Members Posted May 20, 2008 I'm buying a Big Cheese clone - the Chunky Cheese, to be exact. You can get one at olcircuits.com, I was sold on the soundclips. There are a couple of good youtube videos too. My friend is pretty sold on the Redwitch Fuzz God, but it's too pricey for me, and too much crazy. I only want a little crazy.
