Members concretph
i browse CL quite often.. but you have to sift through mounds of utter garbage here in seattle. and tons of people seem to think they can resell their gear at near or at retail price. vintage amps here go for top dollar. the cl part of my music rig:$700 - '65 Twin RI w/ rolling hardcase$40 - digitech pds1002$80 - 808 modded ts9$350 - like new mac mini (1.83ghz, 80 gb hd) had to put in that good deal just to showoff! haven't bought a guitar ..yet, tons of ibanez and squires that are kind of lame. Members stratotastic
I wish. Here in Philly, everybody's always looking to get somethin' for nothin'. If anything, {censored} is way overpriced here. Occasionally there's a good deal, but those get mobbed by the somethin-for-nothin' folks looking to buy low and sell high. Members Crxsh
My Craigslist sucks. I picked up some decent used furniture off there awhile back ..... but I've had better success with Facebook Marketplace. Made a couple pedal swaps there. My Special Edition Crybaby for his DD-5 + FS-5U (that I had to have repaired ) My Small Clone + Zakk Wylde OD for his RC-20 I also sold a Digitech whammy to some local guy (who is also a forum member). Members smurphy28
I got a vintage Phase 90 (1977) off Craigslist for $70 w/ shipping from RI. Some people just want to get rid of stuff.

Members Bigsnake
I got my DMM off CL for a decent deal. The guy was also really cool. Right after I bought my Bad Cat someone kept putting up a Matchless amp with road case for a really good deal. I probably would have bought it if I didn't already have my Cat. My g/f traded a guy a rotisserie chicken cooker for 1000 coke bottle caps from CL... hmmm I tried to sell my nitrous kit on CL but no luck I need to sell it to feed the GAS. I agree completely. Why do these sellers think they can get retail pricing on their old beat-up gear? A used DS-1 for $40?
Members doppelbanger
it's hard to find deals. i usually end up doing more trades on craigslist than anything. traded lots of pedals and even a guitar.
Members mlabbee
I think CL has really jumped the shark. It used to be a lot of fair deals with the occasional jackpot. Nowadays it's loads of crap at near retail (or above!) and the occasional fair deal. I'd even be okay spending near retail on some decent gear, but everything is off-brand, cheapo stuff that was never worth the retail price to begin with. Kind of a bummer . . . Members Facing Failure
I've bought and sold some stuff and done well with Craigslist. My favorite deal I've done off CL was buying a PRS Santana SE for $125 and trading it for a Gibson Gothic SG.

Yeah I put an ad up saying I was looking for used overdrive pedals. Guy emails me saying he has a "mint" Bad Monkey for $45... wouldn't come down on the price... Ended up getting one brand spankin new off MF for $49... and they even sent me a coupon for a free chicken sandwich at McDonalds... bet he couldn't do that!
