Comparison between the Ibanez CS-9 and CF7?

I own both the CS9 and the CF7 and they are two very different pedals. The CS9 is very much a "proper" chorus unit whereas the CF7 can go out into flanger and wierd sound territory in addition to making standard chorus sounds.

Ok, whenever I used my CS9 (which is currently busted) I set the speed all the way down, and the width between half and full, just for a real chewy sound on my distortion. In a similar setting does the CF7 sound similar? On a chorus mode with the speed low and the depth up? I am probably not going to buy one now, since I just bought a behringer dimension-c clone, but I'm still curious.

I can only comment on the flanger side, because I have

the Ibanez FL9 as well as the CF7.

Different beasts, but I really like the CF7 flanger. It works.

It's not warm and fat like the FL9; it's a bit sterile and thin,

but strangely works and cuts through a band with a maniac

drummer and high wattage amps.

It does a better jet plane sound then FL9 in my opinion.

It also offers a great, great ringmod type effect with the

wack'd switch on.

All in all, I can't think of a reason to get rid of it even though

I've acquired a FL9 after it.
