Just bought a korg pitchblack....what does calibrating it do??

The calibration will adjust the pitch it shows as "in tune" up or down slightly. The normal setting is A=440Hz, and you can alter that to suit instruments you can't tune easily (for instance, if the piano is tuned to 442Hz, it's quite a bit easier to adjust the guitar :D).

 

The tuner should come set to 440Hz, so there'd be no need to change unless you want to.
