seller doesn't sound like an a-hole to me at all. It's a USA std 2001 and for $480 if condition is excellent and intonation is good, that is a fair price. Personally, i don't like the std bridge. I like the vintage 2 saddle bridge, and that would be the only reason i wouldn't go for it. But for the price, it's not bad.

I'm not going to claim to be the Guru, but I always took it that USA had 22 frets and MIM had 21.

 

Odd that he doesn't refer to it as USA in the description, just the title.

 

 

And I believe that for that money, still, it's a bit "Meh".

 

Black pickguard? Yeah, I would hit...again, only if it were true USA.

Guy is a complete dick. That's a no go for me. Here's his answer to my questions regarding colour/number of frets:

 

I thought the ad says USA made not MIM, if I wrote Us made it is US made. It is cream colour and apparently you don't know your guitar either Kyle, Standard is always 22 frets.

 

And my measured response:
