No joke! I mean thats not just high- it fing stoopid.... Had you told the guys at MXR in 1974 a blue box would go for 700 dollars Even THE DESIGNER says it was just a toy! They are more rare cause they SUCK!

You could buy a car for under 3000 in 1970. So here is the 2008 mxr blue box/1974 new car conversion chart-
