If I bought that, I wouldn't use it really for distortion, delay, or other sounds I can get from other pedals that sound better. Rather, I'd use it for some crazy stuff that you can't find in pedals, only in computers. A true effect lover's dream IMO just because of the possibilities.

That's exactly what I was using my MagicStomp for. Weird texture-scapes that really couldn't be replicated by other pedals. It was fantastic for it.

I think the key to the claim is the Open Source part. Regardless, the project is run by a bunch of lying liars who tell lies.

Chameleon dev circles were open source -- they had a nice little SDK and the dev community was (I think they are still active) helpful
