Mellowtone Singing Tree or Hi Five Plus Boost?

the youtube videos give a good overview of the pedals

I've got a Hi Five Plus, and use it to either dirty my signal or make my tubescreamer sound less thin

It's subtle, and if you're looking for something to make a huge change to your setup, the Hi Five Plus isn't it

I'm very pleased with mine though!

Gritty, eh? I keep the gain maxed and it just breaks it up a good bit, enough to be able to use it dynamically.

Through a fully clean amp, it's not going to put you into overdrive, but it's going to act like a really nice clean master gain

They are different things. The Singing tree is an overdrive. The Hi five is a dirty boost. At MAX gain, the hi five is "edgy" sounding, slightly gritty. It can't get nearly enough gain to do an overdrive sound. That said, it is a WICKED clean and dirty boost, and I use it with an edgy amp to get a very strong funk single coil sound that isn't actually distorted but is almost there.
