Members zwtyo
Is there anything out there that compares to the Boss VB-2? The thing is freaking sweet, but I don't have the hundreds of dollars to spend on one.

Members onyxrhino
I've got the Behringer one. It works great. The BBE Mindbender's vibrato is supposed to be based on the VB-2.

Members zwtyo
do you get any kind of a weird volume drop w/the behringer? i'm seriously tempted to buy it after listening to the clips on their site.
Members kishjor
BBE MInd Bender sounds great and has a sweet chorus too.
Members shaun126
BBE MInd Bender sounds great and has a sweet chorus too. +100000 Amazing vibrato, and cool chorus to boot. BBE should really do a better job advertising that it is a VB-2 and Blue Hippo clone in a box, they would sell a ton of them.
Members Stacco
I love the vibrato model on the MM4, tho i'm sure that there's tons of people lining up to tell me how {censored}e it is compared to "the real thing", but, as I've never heard a VB-2 in person I'll go on being a happy ignorant. And yeah, there's a volume drop!
Members danielboles
just read that fxdoctor does a mod to that boss chorus ensemble pedal for like 55 bucks or something that makes it a vb-2 or similar.
Members SonicVI
I have a Small Clone with a chorus/vibrato mod that sounds really similar as well.

Members Philly Fuzz
tremolo is not vibrato Yeah, but honest "mistake" given that old Fender amps used the term "vibrato" for tremolo. Additionally, there are some pedals like the T-Rex which do tremolo/vibrato. So... :poke:
Members miggy01
there's a byoc one in the spam thread for 180 bucks.
Members Zoidberg
Man, I'm starting to consider getting a original VB-2 just for the heck of it, even if the Behr-clone is plentily adequate for my needs. It would be crazy to own such an expensive pedal
Members onyxrhino
do you get any kind of a weird volume drop w/the behringer? i'm seriously tempted to buy it after listening to the clips on their site. mine doesn't have any volume drop issues. In fact, it makes the sound a little brighter (but not "bright" in the sense of Boss digital pedals), so if you're plugging distortion into it, it helps your sound clarity a bit. It's handy, I used it all the time until I finally got comfortable doing the Kevin Shields trem arm strumming on my Jazzmaster.
