Getting a Natual Finish

My next purchase will hopefully be an Epiphone Riviera. The most common color is Wine Red. (shown) epi-riviera.jpg

I want to get a natural finish, but i've only been able to find one on ebay in the past year. I don't want the Nick Valensi version. Here's the one that I found that I'd like to get similiar to. 2c1c_1.jpg

If I buy the red one, can I have a guitar tech sand it down and refinish it to be natural? or is that not possible? This might sound stupid, but, one of the things I love about the riviera is the white outline around the guitar. If the tech sanded the finish off, would the outline still be there? Or is it hard to paint that back on? Thanks for the help

Why would you not want Red.

That red is seriously hot.

It also draws attention away from the stupidly large headstock that I can't get over on those or the Sheretons

Natural finish says wanky blues wanker to me... :idk:

I'm not {censored}ing asking what you think I should get. I'm asking if it's possible to do that. If I wanted a Casino I'd get one.

:freak:

YES! it is possible. your tech would just need to sand off or strip the clear coat, sand down the stain so it's "natural" and then whip on a new clear coat.
