I'm sure if you search long enough you could find someone to agree with you...

I'd suggest a forum for the hearing impaired.

can I suggest to both of you that they sound similar but not the same? :)

I've played both. The AC15 does sound a bit different than an AC30. But totally different? I disagree.

ok ok, an ac30 and twin reverb sound totally different.

an ac30 and an ac15 sound different enough for me to choose one over the other.

Nobody gives a {censored}, how about making a suggestion to the thread starter instead of arguing?

btw chrisn12, I second a laney VC15 or LC15

they have 10" speakers so they are pretty small.

Actually, your probably right the LC15 maybe a better option, as the VC15 did have a power transformer problem.

And RoboPimp, if he considers a Vox AC30 & AC15 too heavy he ain't going to be getting that Vox sound. And being as the Laney VC series is based on the Vox i thought it a good alternative.

On the LC15.... I have an LC15R and it's a fantastic amp but it sounds nothing like an AC30. Still, it has great cleans and breakup and it's a lot louder than you might expect. Dead small and light too.

I think the VC15 would be closer to an AC15/30 because I think that one is class A, whereas the LC15 is definitely class AB.
