So I've needed a boost pedal for a while, and I just stumbled across the EHX LP-1 which seems like a steal at $40 new. I understand that this is not a "clean" boost, but I wonder how it will sound with my current rig. Right now it goes:

Strat -> Vox Clyde McCoy Wah -> TS9 (2) -> Deja Vibe -> H2O -> Holy Grail -> TU-2 -> '72 Bassman 50 stack

Will using this with my TS9 (I'd take the other one out) give me enough boost for solos? Will it "fatten" up the TS9, or just get muddy? Anyone out there running one?!?

it will def fatten things up,but i found it to be a bit noisey.for solo boost it works quite well.it's built rock solid.but it is not true bypass IMO but i could be wrong,but with my rig you can here a diff.so i don'tthink it is.but for $40 it's a great boost.

I'm ok with fattening up my tone, so long as it doesn't get all muddy. That's actually what I'd like for my lead tone, a beefed up, louder version of my rhythm tone (which is the TS9's gain dimed, volume at noon and tone at 1 o'clock)

I WANT MY TS9 TO GO TO 11!

I use mine a lot, as bhsbhswarp said, it fattens up the tone and adds some gain. Good for solos. I don't know if it's true bypass, but it's "true" enough for me.
