Members OldCrankyDouche
From what Ive gathered, its a clean boost with tone control. Mine will be paid for and on its way this week.

Mine will be paid for and on its way this week. that's basically it.....the tone control is good though, turning it to the bass side actually adds bass not just roll off the treble, so it's great for adding some beef to your sound. Members ElephantTalk
buffered output too. analog not digital. hows it sound at 9 volts? it requires 10. id run it of a voodoo labs supply.
Members RolloGreb
Mine doesn't have a DC jack, I've never heard that it likes 10 volts. Sounds good with a 9V battery to me. Edit: it does have a jack, just an 1/8" one though for whatever reason.
Members Bobby D
i used one in the late 80s, used it as a clean boost to bump up my marshall jmp 50 watt 2x12 combo. it did a great job, your basic 20db clean boost with tone control. Members Jops
Super clean. Doesn't alter your tone by adding 'fatness' or other such nonsense. I run it in front for boosting gain. Tone control is more useful than I thought it would be. Kicked a Catalinbread Picoso off my board (nice pedal too). I think RolloGreb's thinking of a different pedal. Members kpd78
"The FX10 Bi-FET Preamplifier is designed with the acoustic instrument in mind. It provides up to 17dB of gain to match the output from an acoustic transducer with other electric instruments going into an amplifier." works great with electric guitars and bass too. re: the 10v thing... i've had several DOD pedals (inc the Bi-Fet) and they all said they require a 10v power supply; they all ran perfectly with 9v.
